The importance of routine oil changes
Regular oil changes can not only help increase the longevity of your vehicle, but provide you with better fuel mileage, improved engine performance, and peace of mind knowing the parts within your car have been looked over by a certified technician.

Depending on your vehicle and what kind of oil it uses, the frequency of your oil changes could vary all the way up to 10,000 miles.
Some people worry that their car will face issues if they don’t bring it in as soon as their maintenance light turns on, but as long as you don’t wait too long you should be okay. We typically recommend coming in to get your car serviced around every 5,000 miles. Anything below that is unnecessary, and waiting much longer after 5,000 can lead to larger problems occurring before a technician can look at it.
Process
Our oil change process
When you bring your car in for an oil change at Shade Tree Auto, we will change your oil filters, top off fluids, air up tires, and provide you with a courtesy inspection. We feel the courtesy inspection is just as important as the oil change as it provides a good opportunity to check your suspensions, tires, fluids, and safety items every 5,000 miles to ensure everything is running correctly and check for any symptoms that might show your car needs more attention than initially thought.
